    I love Euonymus planipes. I didn't realise the leaves did that though, I've only seen it with red autumn colours

    It's growing in deep shade, and most years the leaves turn pale yellow with just a few white. In some ways it looks odd, but on this rather murky evening with all the leaves white it took my breath away. 
    I have lots of colourful trees and shrubs at this time of year (parrotia persica being my favourite) so its not too disappointing not to have the normal autumn shades from this shrub.
    I have other euonymus which turn red, the most reliable being euonymus alatus, which turns cerise. 
    So far the colours are developing nicely.......
