Do you know which type they are? Different types have different sized leaves. It is also normal for new leaves to be smaller than those older ones lower down.
That being said, they ought to be outside in a sheltered spot or in a coldframe or cold greenhouse. They won’t get enough light indoors and the growth will be etiolated and pale.
Thank you! This is "Polish Spirit" - the other two are "President" and "Nelly Moser" - I'll move them to a sheltered spot and pinch out the top if needed!
When you do plant them out make sure you plant them deeper than they are now as that helps keep their roots moist and also encouraged new stems for extra flower power.
Make sure each one has room to grow and spread and that you train the new stems out in a fan shape as horizontal and diagonal stems will also produce more flowers.
Polish Spirit will spread to 3 to 4 metres high and wide when mature and happy. The President - 2 to 4 metres - is a group 2 for pruning but can be treated as a group 3 to make pruning life simpler. Nelly Moser is the same for size and pruning group and its paler flowers do better in semi shade rather than full sun as that bleaches the lovely pinky purple bars.
