Some smartphone cameras are excellent as long as there is plenty of light and I use my (now considered old!) Samsung s6 for the vast majority of photos I upload to this site. It does require getting your head around all the camera settings though (such as which focus method is being used and multi-shot for catching those dancing butterflies) I also have a couple of Canon DSLRs but admit to rarely using them these days, although those can take shots which would be impossible on the phone and can use 'focus bracketing', which takes several shots each with a different focal length, so you can be fairly sure you get one of the main subject fully in focus, and can later use the other shots in editing to make everything look in focus and so simulate a shot which would require a £5000 lens. Sorry, rambling..
