Thanks @Pete.8 I think I may add one or two to the collection for next year. No idea where I'll put them though :o

You are now my fruit-growing guru :)

@Biglad, I've lost a lot of the labels over the years, but they include Bluecrop, Herbert, Chandler, Patriot and a couple of cultivated bilberry bushes.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Looks like Patriot is successful for a few Bluberphiles. It's on the wish list :)

The best idea is to get a mix of early fruiting blueberries and then mid or late season plants, then you can extend the season well into autumn.
Patriot is an early ripener - my first were ripe on 5 July this year
have a look here to get some ideas of what others will extend the season for you

Herbert has the best taste of blueberry and they are good, but still quite tart when ripe.
Ozark Blue has fat juicy berries with a great taste and sweetness
I've never grown any other varieties to compare.

I should be covered for late-season with Aurora so if the Draper isn't going to play ball, I think that a Patriot sounds like it would be good alternative for early-season. Bluecrop should roughly fill the the gap. Then maybe a Chandler and a Herbert to get a really comprehensive spread and variety :)
