Pretty plants for these pots?

  • @LToby these pots look beautiful!  I’m so glad I’ve been introduced to Bacopa!
160 pots though?  I think my brain would be fried 😆.  I have a selection of multi sized pots around the garden as I realised I needed some larger ones.  I got some beauts 2 weeks ago half price.  I have an alpine garden and herb garden but have bought some shrubs this year.  The bulbs I planted are putting in an appearance now so I have high hopes for this year.
I made mistakes with my winter garden for sure but I’ll learn for next year.  The pot below had 6 plants in it that were tiny.  They were very cheap but produced this beauty!
Thanks for the tips, I really appreciate them.
  • @sam bevington thank you, I love both of those!  I have a growing list of flowers I want to try.  I’ll just have to buy more pots 🤷‍♀️.  Those Salvia would be perfect in a couple of my pots where I wanted those colours.  Thank you for sharing.
  • I get mine online from Brookside Nursery £7.99 for 40 plugs if you've got room to pot on.
  • @sam bevington thanks, I’m very tempted!
  • @LToby yes they look great.  I’ve been watching gardening programmes and getting some tips on upcycling.  It’s the creativity that’s drawn me into gardening.  I never knew it could be so much fun!

I find fuschia flowers very pretty.
  • I agree @delski, I love their oriental look.

Funny I never see brachycome (or brachyscome) mentioned. Delicate ferny leaf and pretty lilac blue flowers since summer, still on there now, must take some cuttings before tonights big freeze.
East Dorset, new (to me) rather neglected garden.
  • @SueAtoo I’ve just googled, they look really pretty.  Like a cottage garden flower.  Good luck with them in the cold snap!
  • @ltoby I always buy the garden ready ones as I don’t have a greenhouse.  Mind you my conservatory is temporarily housing a camelia, 2 olive trees and a bay!
