Callicarpa japonica

I would love to put one of these in our border, but they grow to 3m, and as the border is in front of a window, could I keep it pruned without harming it?

    Yes you can but needs to be done in the winter to reduce the plant and cut out branches that are crossing over. They can grow as you said and maybe having it in a border in front of your window maybe not the best place.
