  Annoyingly there is no label visible on the plant either. Not sure that the people who own it would know the name either.

  Checked again this morning and the leaves are definitely alternate so Photinus it is. Thanks everyone.

  I think it could be Photinia serratifolia 'Pink Crispy'...  

  Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
