  • A mix of climbers can look nice but if they will be intermingled remember to choose varieties that need the same or a compatible pruning regime. Otherwise it will be difficult disentangling the different ones and you might damage the one whilst pruning the other.

    Using maybe 2 or 3 repeated around the garden can look nice, you can get flowers across the seasons but still have a cohesive look across the garden. 

    I agree with @ca@Cambridgerose12 re the trees. I would bring them further into your garden towards the front of the border.

    After 2 weeks removing them @Busy-Lizzie, I've converted one of my customers to hating them too!!!!  :D

    Mahonias are are superb plant for honeybees, of which there aren't many left - I can deal with the maintenance!
