I doubt the stones will make much difference either way tbh. as far as oxygen getting to the roots, so go with whichever suits you best. Yes, garden centres are still open. If it's not been re-potted in a while and is quite rootbound, a slightly bigger pot and some fresh compost would give an extra boost. I'd guess the best time to re-pot is when you notice some new growth on the plant, then it'll be ready to settle in it its new home. But you obviously have the right routine with it - it's a lovely looking plant, so just carry on doing what you're doing

hi everybody! not sure if anyone will see this, as it's quite an old post. I'll leave it a day or so and post a new question if necessary.
Anyway, I'm having similar problems to last year, with the brown leaves, and some have fallen off. Last time I watered it, when I came back a couple of hours later, there was still water in the tray, though the soil at the top of the pot wasn't moist.
Also, worried about the baby hoyas I have. They've been doing fine until recently, but one's not looking at all well. I've been taking the lid off of the tray they're in once a week, to get them used to being out. And I have also given them a bit of water, though previously, when they were enclosed, I hadn't needed to very much at all.
My housing situation is quite precarious at the moment, so I'm loath to make any major changes right now, unless it's absolutely necessary. Thanks for reading
