Happy Imbolc

There is a good overview of the Imbolc festival here - the feast of snowdrops. (Pronounced with a silent 'b'.)

Thanks for sharing Fire.  Quite interesting.

I'm much more of a St. David's girl myself, mostly because where I am now and where I grew up, the beginning of February is still the depths of winter.  Where as March feels a bit more springish.. with loud trumpets of daffodils fanfaring the arrival.

It's definitely starting to feel like spring is on the way. Things are waking up and the birds are getting louder every day. I'm sure winter still has plans but it won't be long now before we're through the worst of it.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

My mini iris retic. are just out with a bang - spring fireworks. One day tight bud; next day boom! Always a great sign, though snow is forecast again for the weekend.
