Where to buy big bags of compost?

Would like to buy one of the really giant  bags of compost from a local supplier for the spring. I'm sick of garden centre brands and the endless compost bag waste.

 However I often find they dont deliver to our particular area. Is there any website or directory I should be researching to find local suppliers.

    Thanks for the replies.

    Is there a 'rate' you should be paying per litre for a good peat free compost?

    Are you talking about a one tonne pallet bag? Have you got room to store in undercover. Can you move it about?
    Most commercial nurseries will have a pallet load of 60 or 70l bags of compost delivered. The individual bags are easier to handle.

    I go a couple of huge bags from B and Q (130l) which go pretty far. They are quite heavy to move in and out of the car though.

    Yes! This is what I meant! Some new trees and borders going in plus the greenhouse and vege beds, think I will be ploughing through the compost yet again.

    You are raising some very pertinent questions. Room to store, but not undercover (was just planning to cover with tarpaulin), access to farm machinery to move if needs be, but was just planning to get Barrow loads as needed. Is this difficult?

    I've used Compost Direct and been pleased. I have just kept it on my driveway covered in a tarpaulin.
