Please advise - I’ve had these two red robins , standard in pots for about 3 years , given to me by a friend. There were signs of the weevil beetle last year ( leaf notches) , which I treated. Last year the spots also appeared - see photo. Is there anything I can do to revive the trees or shall I get rid of them ? Is this a fungus or a pest? Thanks, Alexandra
I remember reading a similar post about these trees a couple of weeks ago and I think the general consensus was it is 'normal'....maybe you could try and search for the thread.

Typical red robin sadly, I had and still to some degree too. Last summer they responded well to a good feed every so often. Epsom salt foliar spray and rose clear (not all at the same time 😉) feeding (chicken manure/blood fish bone) I think is key to help them battle through. Far amount of work but worth it for spring colour.
They may also be more susceptible to disease and problems if they are struggling in their pots. How big are the pots? Are they in a soil-based medium and not pot-bound? Good availability of nutrients and water? Maybe these things need addressing, too, to give them their best chance at recovery?
