Apple tree

Hi,
I notice there is an apple tree which its apples do not fall.  They stayed on through the autumn and remain on their branches still even now, as we are entering February.  Can anyone tell me why?  I tried searching for an answer on the net, but no avail.

look forward to hearing your information. :o

Agree with @pansyface especially if those apples are significantly smaller than "normal" apples.
  • Hello! thanks for the response, but they are not so small. about 6cm, and not sour.
Do crab apples not drop off the tree? I took a photo of it but no way of uploading it.

My crab-apple tree keeps its small apples all winter long (except for those that the blackbirds, etc. gobble up. :pensive:
