Greenhouse frame but no glass

Hi,
For some unknown reason i bought a greenhouse frame and base form a DIY store years ago, except I didn't buy the glass. I know, i must have had good reason at the time...
Finally this year have decided to use it, and so my dilemma. Where can i get glass or polycarbonate to use with my frame?

Also, the frame packaging says it is unsuitable for polycarbonate glazing.
Is that really possible? What difference does it make?

crazypeg Have you considered clear corrugated plastic? With good experience of it, it would be my first choice.

glass, if you dont have to worry about safety aspect, you can get what is called agricultural glass from local glazers/conservatory sellers, i isn't expensive. Goodquality polycarbone is expensive.

Most likely the aluminium frame won't be deep enough to allow polycarbonate to sit in place and for the the clips that hold it to fit. Standard sized glass panels for greenhouses are available from lots of outlets on-line

Don't use agricultural glass if you have children/grandchildren anywhere near your greenhouse. At the very least make sure you use toughened glass on the lower panes .

Toughened glass is more expensive but when it shatters it breaks in to small bits which wont harm anyone, but its a pain to clear up, but worth the price to save serious injury to a child or yourself.

Thanks. I have two small ones so think will heed your advice.
Tempted with using these plastic slot-in sheets for the first couple years to see if they take...
If i can find a replacement pack for the same frame.
