Dwarf Bearded Iris pumila

Hi new to this and bought dwarf iris tubers which just arrived in post (end of January ).  .. not at all clear what I should do with them now ? Do I plant out now straight away ? .. or do I have to store them until things warm up in spring and if so do I put in sand or pest to store ? Thank you.

    Must admit this is a new one on me, aren't they pretty? I see that they should avoid winter wet, so if you can l would pot them up and keep them somewhere sheltered, maybe in a coldframe if you have one, or up against the house wall.

    Thank you ! Yes I think I’ll try potting them up and try to find a frost free spot I can place them in ... my garden is pure sand in places so very well draining ..  perhaps I can transfer them into a permanent spot later in the year :) .. thank you for responding ... I ve developed a lock down habit of trawling through the catalogues  and get caught up with ordering what appear to be bargains and then stump myself when they arrive ha ha !
