If you go for J Parkers, make sure you go to the wholesale site www.dutchbulbs.co.uk not the retail one (www.jparkers.co.uk). I got loads of bulbs from them last autumn, planted them in pots, and now they're all coming up great and I'll plant them soon when I can see the spaces between what's already there.

JParkers/Dutch Bulbs are good for large quantities we've had a couple thousand daffs, and a similar amount of crocus, tulips, gladioli, alliums and more besides. They have always offered great service and excellent prices, the Dutch Bulbs side is for bigger orders and there is large savings to be had

For bulk buying I've had some from Boston Bulbs. As they are in Lincolnshire they can send easily and cater to council type numbers so you could try them.

You might want to double check that EU firms are still exporting to the UK and what their delivery charges are now.

I’m looking at Dutch bulbs and found some perennials I’d like - but I can’t see what is supplied. Is it a plug? 9” pot? Anybody know?

Usually says in each individual plant description, it maybe a 9cm plant pot or loose root or something else

Ah I take it back, some of them do. The first 3 or 4 I looked at didn’t say.
  • All suggestions much appreciated
