Succulent Bronze advice

Hi all succulent experts
I have this Graptosedum bronz which has been struggling for awhile, recently repotted into more gritty compost had a good water. Trying to give it more light so its in my lounge window.
Is it better outside? (In UK winter here pretty wet and cold)
Leaves are shrivelling.
Any other advice?
Thanks

It looks more like Crassula Ovata that has been allowed to get leggy. The leaves go crinkly when the need water. More info below.

  • I think yes it may be too warm in my lounge, perhaps i'll move him. Yes that is a spare stem that came loose so i popped it in the soil   :)
    Thanks

succulents need good light. Moving it too close to the window good idea. Always water when the surface dried out. If the outdoor too much cool and wet better kept inside.
    Love organic indoor garden. :)

I'll also add that Crassula Ovata must be one of the easiest house plants to propagate.
Simply cut off a leaf, and lay it on top of damp compost and a new plant will grow almost 100% of the time. Some folk say to leave the leaf cut end to dry for a few days before laying on top of the compost, but I haven't found any difference.
To stop it getting leggy, cut out the growing tip every few inches, and you will end up with a much bushier plant.

  • Thanks everyone!
Some of my other succulents are struggling a bit, im not sure where to put them, too much sunlight? Not enough sunlight? Drafty? Too warm!?

I have various succulents on window sills around the house. Some in heated rooms, and some unheated. All doing well. I think the main cause of problems with succulents is over watering. I only water when the soil is almost bone dry. Sometimes that can be several weeks.

  • Hello sairhardyGb3DP3h7,
I agree with you that it is Graptosedum, not Crassula ovata, for sure. I grow these at home. They like a lot of light, not frost hardy, doesn't like sitting in water as will rot, can tolerate some drought, and can be easily propagated by leaves - remove a couple of big leaves, leave for a couple of days for a callus to generate, then just pop into the slightly moist compost. They will root easily in a couple of weeks. Your plant had become too leggy.. :) Have you applied any general use fertiliser to it in summer months? Also, sometimes if the compost is too old, it's worth re-potting the plant.
  • Hi, i recently (2 weeks) repotted into a more gritty compost, it was in a pot with other succulents. Its in my lounge big South facing window, plenty of light. Had a good water when repotted. Haven't put any fertiliser in...
  • Its got a white mould type appearing on leaves too...
