Trim the laurel  ... remove the berries ... at least the poop won’t be purple and hopefully the woodies will move on to look for a different place to dine.
It's a huge laurel that provides privacy so cutting it back wouldn't be possible.  The boundary is a really difficult to access area so I can't change it for anything else.  I don't want to discourage them from the garden, just get them to spend more time sitting somewhere else when they come out of the conifer that they live in :)

You could always create a new perch for them somewhere near the laurel, and feed them a little in that area each day as well. You'd be surprised how readily they may take a liking to a specific spot created for them.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Great idea - I'll have a look at how I can do something like that

You should talk to/argue with your power provider.
  • @punkdoc my childhood came flooding back to me with that clip. Thank you.

I have noticed a property I often walk by has power and telephone cables that have these on them where the cables go over their driveway above their cars.
I assume.... that they are pigeon deterrents.
The ones they have are bigger than those in the pic and are cone shaped.

PS also noticed this - maybe your supplier could provide the same
