Trim the laurel ... remove the berries ... at least the poop won’t be purple and hopefully the woodies will move on to look for a different place to dine.
It's a huge laurel that provides privacy so cutting it back wouldn't be possible. The boundary is a really difficult to access area so I can't change it for anything else. I don't want to discourage them from the garden, just get them to spend more time sitting somewhere else when they come out of the conifer that they live in
You could always create a new perch for them somewhere near the laurel, and feed them a little in that area each day as well. You'd be surprised how readily they may take a liking to a specific spot created for them.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Great idea - I'll have a look at how I can do something like that
I have noticed a property I often walk by has power and telephone cables that have these on them where the cables go over their driveway above their cars. I assume.... that they are pigeon deterrents. The ones they have are bigger than those in the pic and are cone shaped.
