January planting onion sets and garlic

I missed my Autumn planting of the above. If I plant now when will they crop - or should I wait till Spring? Thanks

    One issue with autumn garlic is it needs a period of cold to initiate bulb formation.  Maybe start them in module or small pots then get them out when it's not so wet. If you are using a deep bed though you might be ok sooner.

    @louise818   Onions are good to go this month.  I have sown red and white mild onions for the salad.  Start pulling around July and can go through to November.
    A good hoeing is worth two waterings.
