Blown Sprouts

Hello, is there anyone who can tell me why I've had problems this year with the vast majority of my sprouts being 'blown'.  They are very small and most of the crop is unusable.  What few I was able to use were really tasty!  Does anyone have any advice.

Many thanks

It’s usually due to the plants not being firmed into the soil firmly enough and rocking in the wind.

They’re still edible ... treat as cabbage or spring greens.

  • Thanks, I’ll pick some later then. Thought I’d lost most of the crop!

Give them a good swish around in cold water to wash any wind blown grit out of the crevices and enjoy.

Very similar to the kale x sprouts called kalettes that are very trendy now.
