  Mine aren't all quite the same type of connectors as yours, I don't think, as I was trying to connect one end of the hosepipe to a spray attachment and the other end of the hosepipe to a bathtub tap, but I got a set of something similar at a cheap and cheerful price from Wilkos (online rather than in store). Maybe have a look on their website and see if they've got what you need?
  
  If you are wanting something a bit more expensive and durable than Wilkos (because theirs do the job but don't always last very long), then most garden centres seem to have a Hozelock section for this kind of thing.

  Thanks Willow Bark. It’s the size of the yellow hose that is the problem- too big for ‘standard’ attachments.

  And maybe someone who knows more about these matters - and we’re starting from a very low base - could advise if you could shove these in the two ends of the pipe and then source a connector to screw on the ends of them

  Search for 3/4inch to 1/2inch hose connectors. Karcher make decent brass ones which should do the job.

  I thought it was 7/8” internal diameter not 3/4” but, as I say, I know next to nothing about such things. Searching for 7/8” connectors is a challenge.

  Thanks all. I thought I found some on Amazon but when they came they were too big! I think I ordered 1”
