Ficus ginseng lot of leaves have fallen off, help please!!

Hi, 

I do not know much about plants so I really need help please. My ginseng lost a lot of leaves last year and they never grew back.

Does it look like it may have scale?

Please help I really want it sorted I don't seem to get any responses on other forums!!

    I’ve had a few problems with mine. I stuck mine on a windowsill in the garage and ignored it for a while. It does seem slightly better.
