Figs

Hi all, I have a 2-3 year old Brown Turkey Fig tree which is growing happily against a shed. As you can see there are fruits growing that started at the end of the summer last year. Should I remove these figs to make way for new growing fruit in the summer/autumn or are these the 2021 crop? Or, do I leave these on and then remove them at a certain time of the year? Cheers, Paul

Conflicting advice appears in books. We have tried leaving them on one year to removing them the next. It hasn't made us get earlier or better fruiting.

I would leave them
on ... the theory is that small overwintered figs should grow and ripen next year.
