Hellebore seedlings

Hello,
Can anyone help me with the above, I have several hellebore seedlings of a reasonable size and I would like to know if I could dig them now to pot on.
Many thanks.

I believe they are best dug up when small but I think I would wait until the weather's just a bit warmer.

If you are potting them singly  into pots of gritty compost , and then putting them into a cold frame, they should be fine.  Obviously if the ground is frozen, leave them until it warms up a bit.

They can take a long while to grow into to decent sized plants. So, patience is the key. Tend in small pots.

I just leave mine in the ground and pull up any that are too crowded or that I don't like when they flower. They would take over the whole border if I didn't take a hard line with them. Wonderful for cheering up winter, though.
