Shallots & late planting

I have just found some Jermor shallots in my cupboard. Is it too late to plant them?

Better late then never as they won't grow at all if you don't plant them.  Just make sure the ground isn't frozen.

Too true! I thought I might start them off in pots in the greenhouse and then transfer them in about 3-4 weeks. Better than drying up completely! Ta.

Good idea and then you can just chuck any that don't grow and save space in your veggie bed.  They'll get a quicker start under shelter too.

I put mine out in the ground in early December and the perishers are only just showing thru but it has been unusually wet and then cold for here.
