Fuchsia pruning

Could someone please advise me with regard to the pruning of this fuchsia? I've never known how to deal with it, so I've just left it! I know it's not dead and it will come back but it was a bit wild and bedraggled this year.

They should be pruned almost to the ground in March every year.
If you cut all of the branches down to about 2’ from the ground this March, then next year you can go a bit lower.  It will pick up and grow really nice by the summer.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
