Begonia Rex from seed
in Plants
I was hoping to grow a variety of Rex Begonia from seed. However, I'm starting to wonder if this is really efficient or effective. Though I know that it can be done, I'm slowly starting to find out that many or maybe even most don't come true to seed, and therefore, I can't find anyone who sells seeds. The closest I've gotten is a wholesale seed/plug supplier who has plugs of 'Jurassic' begonia rex varieties. I would rather not go that route as it means that I wouldn't be able to keep those plants to take cuttings from in the future, as it is trademarked. So basically I'm asking, what do I do? Any ideas?

Growing begonias from seed can be tricky. Are you in the UK ?
I have had a look at the begonia variety Jurassic, and if we're looking at the same site, there seem to be very firm guidelines about non propagation in the USA.

I am not 100% sure but l think that under PBR in the UK you can propagate plants for your own personal use only. I stand to be corrected
