Damaged greenhouse roof ...ideas?

Hi, I've just realised that the snow we've had over the past few days( and still hasn't melted) is too much weight on the greenhouse roof windows. The greenhouse is wood frame and polycarb ( supposed tough) windows. In the year and a half since we've had it the roof half window has warped and no longer fits the sip around it and now one of the plastic windows has cracked. I can't move the snow as shifting the weight of it seems to put more pressure on the crack. It hasn't fallen through bit from the underside the crack cuts down half the panel and across. Does anyone have any experience of either patching a crack with some sort of clear sealant, or replacing the panels? Any advice or guidance would be appreciated.

I'm a great fan of clear corrugated polythene sheets for roofing but you don't say whether your existing windows are corrugated or flat.  If you'd still like to clear the snow of the roof, why not take a hair dryer inside on an extension lead and direct it at the underside of the roof for a few minutes?  If you're worried about the whole lot moving in one go, do half of it first and then the other half.
  • Nic615- it's a flat window panel rather than corrugated

Thanks both for your ideas. I'll see what I can try out this week
