Rolein Red Onion Sets

I could not get my usual red onion sets so the supplier sent me some of the above.

They have roots but are not producing any top shoots.

Planted Nov 20th

The white onions sets and garlic that I planted before the reds are trucking on nicely.

? Any suggestions friends.
Everyone is just trying to be Happy.....So lets help Them.

    Doesn't sound anything wrong with them to me, some like more warmth before getting out of bed than others! My garlic went in in October and is not showing yet, it will come just be patient, we're heading into the coldest part of the year so I will not expect to see my garlic before it starts to heat up again in early March.

    I agree, roots first is normal for onion sets, whether autumn or spring planting types.  The leaves will emerge when the conditions are right.
    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
