Happy New Year

A Happy New Year to one and all.

Hopefully we will all enjoy bumper crops of anything we choose to grow.

Today is traditionally the day to sow your onion seed!

For anyone with itchy fingers wanting to get started on 2021 gardening.

Happy New Year to you too, Joyce.  Yep - January is a time to start the garden off for the coming spring and summer.  First up - sowing onions and leeks.  Then hopefully in February, summer vegetables.  Not too soon, we don't want the Ice Saints getting to them in May!!
A good hoeing is worth two waterings.

Happy New Year @Joyce Goldenlily  It is amazing that it's only six weeks to my planting tomato seeds!

    Happy new year
  • Hurray! Leeks and onions sown and tucked up in their own individual plastic bag propagators on my sunniest window sill.

We are reeling with shock at the severe frosts we are experiencing at the moment. My cabbages and brussel sprouts really do not like the light gritty soil of my garden, I tread them in hard when planting, give them stakes and keep them tied in but the end results are negligible. (Must try harder). Kale does better.
