Can you spot any Japanese Knotweed?

  • Guess I have to persistently pull them out every now and then, in conjunction with regular weed killer. Nothing else I could do, I supposed. :wink:

    Pulling them out will weaken the plants but it could take quite a few years before they’re eradicated. A better option is digging them out as the roots do not go very deep, don’t snap easily and are readily visible.

    If you want to apply weed killer wait until late spring when the plants are growing vigorously. It could two or more applications leaving 3+ weeks between each spraying.
