Membership of the RHS is a comparable price to a GW subscription and gets you a monthly magazine plus free entry for 2 people to all the RHS gardens plus at least one free entry to many "partner" gardens plus free access to advice from RHS specialists and preferential tickets to the shows.

Does GWMag monitor these discussions? If so their silence is deafening.
I have forwarded my comments above directly to GWMag [email protected]
I suggest others do the same.
Also I have sent the following to Mr Fothergill's who supply the seeds:

Dear Folks,
I have a subscription for Gardeners’ World magazine and was
looking forward to receiving my free Mr Fothergill’s seeds with the next six
issues of the magazine. Also, I had bought two friends an annual subscription
to the magazine for Christmas, partly influences by the belief that they would
be getting the seeds in addition to the magazine.
Subsequently I was most disappointed to discover that my
friends and I would not be benefitting from the free seed offer due to the new phytosanitary
regulations for plant material moving between the UK and Northern Ireland.
I would suggest that you discuss the matter with the
publishers of Gardeners’ World magazine to see if a solution can be found. I am
aware that many garden centres and garden shops in Northern Ireland ordered
their 2021 supply of seeds well in advance to ensure that they were delivered before
the new regulations were implemented. Perhaps you could arrange with Gardeners’
World for vouchers for the missing seeds to be issued to subscribers living in
Northern Ireland and for these to be exchanged for the seeds in local outlets.
Please feel free to reply by email to myself at [email protected]
so long as you do not send it from a ‘no reply’ email address.
I trust you will give this matter due consideration.
Unfortunately this is not limited to freebies with magazines. Those of us living in Europe can no longer order directly from UK based seed suppliers, even when the seeds themselves originate from European growers!
Marne la vallée, basically just outside Paris 🇫🇷, but definitely Scottish at heart.
@mary.mayer, you did well if you got 4 packs in january. The magazine only sent 2 out, 1 packet of chilli seeds and 1 of rocket. So you got double what everyone else got😊
@mary.mayer. Do you subscribe to GW? They are currently offering two packets of seeds a month, for subscribers in mainland Britain, for six months. If they sent you 4 packs instead of 2 i dont see how they are breaking the sales of goods act?
Nevertheless, they are breaking advertising regulations and the sale of goods act
In that case, your first port of call should surely be your local Trading Standards Authority
Surely, the first port of call is the supplier ? This could be the result of a simple mistake! However, when more people complain about similar issues, perhaps it’s time to move to the next level but in my case not for £2.25

Sorry, it was meant to read 4 instead of 5, I don’t know how I managed to press 2 😀! No I don’t have a subscription. This was my first time buying the magazine and I wasn’t impressed so won’t be buying again.
