  Well she declined as she said she has everything for Christmas Day. She did accept the small box of chocolates and seemed pleased that I offered. She did seem in better spirits compared to when I last spoke to her as well, so that’s good. She seemed quite down the other day.
  
  @Fran IOM, yes, I think this year has been especially hard for people coping with loneliness. A smile and a hello to a stranger can go along way
