Pond Snails

I was thinking about an indoor fish tank but decided against it after research.
What I have done is get 2 plastic food containers about 12 inches x 6 inches and 5 inches deep and transferred some of my pond water , snails and some of the plants they live on in the pond.
There are 2 types one that is like an ammonite shell and a curly one that speeds about and sits on the others.
There are also a couple of tiny tiny snake like critters that wander about.
Its really interesting to watch and " Yes I really should get out more "
"No snails were hurt in this process "

Thats made me think.
If I notice that I have some of the above evolving I will return the entire contents back to the pond to let Nature take its course.
Good point.
