    Thank you @Lyn I have tried that but it always seems to crack.  Hard to disguise a roulade as a Yule Log, maybe I'll have another go. This is why I make spiced cakes  :D

    I know everyone likes a home made Christmas but I went off that some years ago.
    enough to do, usually with family staying over.  (Not this year she quickly says) 

    I ordered a Yule log from Tesco for delivery,  unfortunately the Finest range was out of stock so I ordered the Tesco own cheap one.   What arrived in delivery today,   The Finest one.  Same price as the cheap one. Bargain. 😀
