I've found honeysuckle to be really easy.  You can layer it so bend a low branch and cover a node (leaf joint after removing the leaf) with a bit of soil and put a stone over it to keep it in place.  You could do this now ready for spring.  Leave it about 3 - 6 months and it will sprout roots.  When it has, cut it off the main plant and pot up.

They are also very quick from regular cuttings.  I took some in autumn and they are overwintering ready for repotting in spring.  Take a non flowered shoot, cut below leaf node, pull off lower leaves leaving only a couple and stick in the side of a pot of compost, next to the pot wall.  Check the bottom of the pot for roots poking out.  You could experiment with that now and if fails try again in spring.

Good to know, I have lonicera japnoica "halliana" and a lot of the growth is so low I can't get it to climb onto my supports so creating new plants from the low growth would be great.

Where my honeysuckle trails on the floor, it readily forms roots at nodes. I just sever them and move them .

Yes, the one in my last garden "crept" round a corner by itself in this manner!  The cuttings I'm nurturing are from next door but one's which is up for sale (I asked permission).  He had the yellow one from china (?) whereas the one in our hedge is the native wild one.
