Best roasting potato?

Maris piper today. Crispy on the outside, fluffy in the middle but grainy. Disappointing. Which one's the best? You can mention amazing allotment varieties of you like, but supermarket ones would be more helpful😊

I got side tracked with carolling in the end. But I am determined to try to perfect the roasty. It does continue to pique my interest in how ovens actually work (with vents for steam and things).
