Newly planted bean plants pulled up in 2 days.

Friday I planted out some 12 dwarf broad plants and placed a 12 " tall fence round of some clear plastic.

Went back today and they have all been pulled up and dropped outside the protected area and all about 3 foot away on the next bed.

No marks on the soil.

Pigeons ??

In my garden it would be squirrels or pigeons.

  • Agree pigeons.
You need to put some twigs around the plants to stop the birds from getting to your plants.
Love birds but wish they would stay away from our veg!!!
  • Pigeons or Magpies,  my garlic was similarly affected.

The roots had been eaten on most of them so I am favoring Pigeons.

Now replanted those still with roots and covered the area with netting.

I was surprised how upset I got but happily we are surrounded by Nature and I need to just be a bit smarter.

    Thanks  all
