Too late for allium bulb planting?

Argh, just found a bag of Alliums I totally forgot to plant. Is it too late to do so now?

    I haven’t planted mine yet, I’m hoping they will be ok in the cool dark shed they are stored in until the ground is a bit less frosty. Assuming they haven’t gone mouldy, you should be fine. I’ve planted some out in spring before and they survived, just flowered later, but I bought those in a spring GC sale, so they were presumably stored correctly beforehand..

    Phew, I am relieved. Will go out and plant them as soon as it stops raining. Thank you all!

    Just remember to plant them deep. Purple rain and the like go six inches deep if you can. Otherwise they tend to split into lots of little bulbs.

     I keep forgetting to put mine in too. Hopefully will get to it this weekend.

    I very rarely manage to plant any bulbs at the "right" time and yet they usually survive, sometimes flowering a little later than expected.  I haven't found alliums to be particularly fussy as long as you plant them deeply, as mentioned by fidgetbones.
