New Turf Advice

Hi,

We had turf laid in the garden of our new build by the builders landscapers. Should we expect the turf to settle in? There are gaps between the rolls of turf and standard of the turf isn’t great.. Should this settle and the gaps disappear over time? Or should we complain? Ground is also not level, so unsure if this should settle over time, too?

Will post pictures.

Thanks

  • Mine looked like that. It was also laid late October last year.

By March it looked like normal lawn. Dug most of it up now for planting and patio
  • @zanderggorton welcome to the forum  :)  That looks a helluva lot better than a lot of newbuild turfing jobs we see on here.  I take it that it's been done pretty recently?
It's hard to say how it will fare long-term ... that will depend a lot on how well they did the prep and how much builders' rubble they buried underneath it.  But for now it's looking ok.
