When it comes to choosing a pup remember, terriers dig, gun dogs carry stuff in their mouths and tend to chew, hounds chase and some of them holler as well, collies need to be kept occupied for 18 out of every 24 hours  ... they can’t help it, it’s in their genes, you won’t stop it ... mixtures have genes from both/all breeds ... look at your garden and choose carefully.
    Good luck ... from a dog lover 🐕 ❤️

  • My friend's cocker spaniel was seriously ill after ingesting Cotoneaster horizontalis berries and required veterinary treatment. However, it all comes down to the dog. Mine would never have eaten them but other things from dog toys to fruit cake and clingfilm wrapped sandwiches yes, absolutely.

Many years ago, our dog used to stroll down the garden for a daily dose of an illegal plant that, for some unknown reason, had just appeared in our garden.
    In London. Keen but lazy.
