I'd guess it's an osteospermum

Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.

It's an osteospermum. Some can survive a mild winter but many don't.
Take some cuttings or dig it up and put it somewhere cool inside for the winter like a porch or a greenhouse
In London. Keen but lazy.
