I was just going to quote that too, @Janie B I was planning to sow sweet peas this or next week. Last year I sowed them indoors in April and they wanted to be potted on/planted outside long before I dared do so. Initially very healthy loking plants ended up being straggly... and this may be why they succumbed to mildew within just a month? I was hoping to avoid these issues by sowing in an unheated greenhouse type environment then putting in a cold frame for winter. I also have some sweet pea pots to pot them on into just in case. (Will start them off in root trainers.)
