Can’t see your photo but as that is a floribunda rose, you can prune it down to about a foot high in late winter.

Give it a feed at the start of the growing season (usually late March / early April, before the leaves fully open), along with a mulch of compost, and feed again after the first flush (usually in late June / early July) to give it a boost for more repeated flowering.

Hope this helps, I understand how important it must be for you.

Yes, don't be afraid of pruning it back late Feb/Early March as this will encourage fresh, strong growth from low down.  I usually take them back to knee-height.  You can lop a bit off of the top now (say a third to half) if they are really tall, to prevent the wind damaging the roots as the rose rocks from side to side in the gusts.  Don't cut them right back now though or they may start growing new shoots which will be killed by frosts and that could lead to more serious probems.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
