I am not sure what type this is so wondered if it’s OK to move it now and to cut it right down to improve its shape? We’re on the South coast so it’s mild here.

    Looks like it wants to climb whatever it is, so will need some support in the new location.

    I agree looks like a climber. Training branches as near horizontal as possible causes better/more blooms.
    East Dorset, new (to me) rather neglected garden.
