Animal poo in back garden!

Hello,
My son has found this mess in his back garden and we can’t work out what it is. Can anyone help us to identify what it is please? It appears to be all over his lawn and boarders.
Many thanks,
Claire

    Worm casts.
Common - especially at this time of year, and if you have drier soil, because it's easier for worms to move around once the soil is damper   :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Sounds as if your son is lucky and has very healthy soil https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?pid=495
    😊

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
