Very mild weather - what cutting back do you delay?

The weather is so warm lots of plants are still growing and looking happy although the technical advice is cut back In Sept/Oct. This is mainly herbaceous perennials. Is it Ok to delay until they don't look happy or should I do now anyway? eg Achilliea, Aquilegia, Echinacea, Gaillardia, Doronicum. I'm not sure if I should do before we have a hard frost

I never cut any of them back. They die back themselves, and I just remove the dead stems when they're serving no purpose any more. Flowering stems on Acteas, for example, and I just leave the rest of the stand to die back.
I don't grow huge amounts of perennials, and most are finished here by now. One or two still growing though. A Helenium,  one Crocosmia  and some Jap. Anems. The Aquilegias are dying back, and they'll just be left to do that  :)

Apologies for that duplication. The site is playing up all the time for me .

It posted twice, but I deleted the 2nd one. Sorry for any confusion  :)
