Peace Lilly not well - what is it telling me?

We’ve got this Peace Lilly in the bedroom which was purchased in June. Only recently has the white leaves started to turn a little green, and now some are going brown.

I water when the green leaves droop, which brings them proudly back up. I mist spray rain water once a fortnight. I’ll cut off the brown ones today.

Any ideas folk to a novice gardener.

  • Your peace lily is just fine. The leaves are a good dark green, the white things are the flowers and they fade to greenish, then brown as they go over.
    Nothing to worry about :)

It looks ok to me. I cut the faded 'flowers' off at the base. I mist mine once a day though.

This one is a new plant from the previous one that I chopped 8nto and pieces in spring.

I have a biggish one in the bathroom,so it gets a bit of misting from the shower.I found the flowers were very few,but it responded well to one of those feeding things that release feed very slowly from a small plastic bottle. It loved it,and it had a lot more flowers.  As everyone says, just snip them off when they are over, also any yellowing leaves,as far down as you can get with small scissors.
They are a good houseplant for telling you when they are thirsty!
