Here's our tree this year. It will be very fresh. Shame really as without guests this year we probably wouldn't bother. But it was bought in a pot 10 Christmases ago and eventually outgrew even a giant pot, so was planted and now is over 8ft and has to be cut to make way for a new flower bed. His name is Greg.

    Yes, of course!
If I'm stuck - I can pinch the one from the tree stump along the road  :D

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I've just started making wreath bases. I'm using dried wisteria vibes as they are very flexible.  I've been collecting festive bits and bobs through the year.  My best find was two lots of little bells 🔔  so they will tinkle away on people's doors. With tartan ribbons and red berries and foliage.
We always have a small Christmas, anyone that doesn't have anywhere to go can come here but its usually only a couple of guests,  me,  hubby and brother.  So without the guests it will just be the 3 of us if brother's not allowed to mothers.
To be honest I'd love it if it was just the two of us as I've had my bro living here for nearly 2 years,  but I guess that's what you do for family.

Nanny Beach, that's what we've done for the last few years but Greg's time has come. It was always destined to get one final hurrah as a cut tree. Don't divert me from my course I feel a bit sad about it already!

My trees are now up and decorated. I know it’s far too early but after the stress and distress of 2020 I want to do something festive that I am allowed to do. Usually I would be shopping and writing cards and going out for meals and to other festive events and that’s all on hold so my decorations are up, I have control over that aspect of my life at least and it feels good.

    Undecided.
My sister has bought a garden maypole bean support thingy to decorate with lights in the front garden. She will have a tree indoors too because she has a little person. I wonder if the children will ponder how the lockdown rules will apply to Santa?? Maybe they will leave alcohol hand gel on the plate with the carrot and mince pie?? Is present delivering essential travel?? Will he have to quarantine afterwards?? Maybe he will have to ring the doorbell and take a picture of the delivery, like the couriers do?? So many questions...

And do you have to pay £7.99 a month to get Santa Prime?

In Belgium, St Nicholas/Sinta Claes brings the annual presents on December 6th.  The government has given him an exemption so he can do his job - https://www.dw.com/en/belgium-saint-nicholas-exempt-from-coronavirus-constraints/a-55582944

I expect the UK govt could do the same for Santa Claus/Father Christmas.
