You don't need that box on them all the time if it's warmer though
I don't have mine covered most of the day, apart from when it's pouring and windy, and even then they aren't completely enclosed. They're sitting out in the open just now, as it isn't too windy or wet, and it's not been in double figures all day.

Yes - but it's not necessary unless it's thrashing down and blowing a gale. Just rain is fine, and you can put the box over them if it's very windy and they're getting battered. They don't need much protection at all. You'll have to pinch them out quite a bit to stop them being very lanky.

I’m a noob too. Chose Jilly and Midnight seeds and sowed 9 days ago. Now I feel I have 40 kids and don’t know how to care for them. They’re mostly 2” high but growing by the hour. I think I’ll move them into my frame now but how often should they be watered and when might they need support? Thanks
They're unlikely to need watering now, unless you live in a very warm dry area. Don't leave them saturated though, if you do need to water. They shouldn't need supporting. You need to pinch out the tips as they grow, once they have a few pairs of leaves. Pinching out makes bushier plants, ready for planting out in spring. You may have to do that several times. If you've had them cossetted indoors, just let them have a few days to acclimatise to the frame, before leaving them out permanently. Make sure you leave the frame ventilated too.

I thought I’d try planting some seeds including sweet peas but am concerned they are too big already? All the seeds have grown like this. I’ll pinch them out as advised in previous posts and watch them.
